1. Why is my chosen name for registration not acceptable?

There are two usual reasons for this: Firstly, you could have successfully registered without realising it. If you think you may have an existing user name and password, please select the option to log in rather than the one to register. Secondly, someone else could have chosen the same user name. In this case you should re-register selecting another user name.

2. What can I do if I forget my password?

We offer the facility during registration to have 2 security questions that if answered correctly, will allow passwords to be reset. Simply go to the login page and click on 'forgotten your password'. Enter your login name and then click 'Go'. You will then be asked your security questions. Type in your answer and the system will reset your password immediately. Then simply log in again using your original login name and the new password received via email.

If you did not enter the security questions during registration, the link to 'forgotten your password' may fail and you will need to register again.

3. How do I update or delete my personal profile?

As long as you can remember your user name and password, you can update your details any time by going to 'Update your profile'.

4. How can I be sure my details are safe? Is the adamuniversity.com website secure?

7. Why am I getting a prompt, which tells me my security certificate is out of date?

Assuming your certificate is not out of date, this may be due to a problem with older versions of browsers, which do not correctly process date information.

Unfortunately, the security certificates that are embedded in older versions of Netscape (Netscape version 4.05 and earlier) expired on 1 January 2000. This means that secure sites such as adamuniversity.com are no longer accessible to these sorts of browser. The adamuniversity.com site only supports IE4 to IE5.5 and Netscape 4 to 4.7.

8. What do you do with the information I give you?

When you register with adamuniversity.com we ask for some personal information for two reasons. One is to let you get private access to the account information we hold for you. The other is to understand a bit more about what you find useful and interesting so that we can help you find the best solutions. Based on the choices you make on your visits, we may recommend that you look at information on certain products and services we believe you will find of interest.

We never pass on any information about individual customers, though we may provide 'aggregated' statistics to reputable third-party vendors. Why do I get a 'session terminated' message when accessing your site?
